More Beer

Last night was beer makin’ night here at the homestead. This time we went for an Oatmeal Stout, which sounds to me like the perfect cold weather beer. Here’s the Missus checking the specific gravity. I kept reading about 15% alcohol, but she said that was waaay off. Hey, a guys gotta dream.

Here it is fermenting in the carboy. I took this picture this morning, and as of right now there’s no bubbles in the airlock. Some of the batches we’ve made start bubbling right away, and some don’t. That’s just how it works.

How many Becks Dark does it take to brew a batch of beer? I’m guessing six…
